It’s winding down to the end of the season, so I decided it was about time I added more photos.
Whenever I give tours, it seems people are shocked by the fact that we all live in tents out here. We’re 25 minutes from the nearest town, and most of us would rather camp for free than try to find housing. I think we’re pretty lucky though, we have a large kitchen tent (w/ 2 working stoves, 2 working fridges, 2 tables, and a “counter” of sorts), and bathrooms just a 5 minute walk away.
The bathrooms are really the worst part. If you wait until the last minute, you’re probably not going to make it to the bathrooms & will have to use a shrub. Oddly enough, even though we have hot water, none of us really enjoy taking showers everyday. Out here, we’d rather eat, hike, or watch Rome. For some reason, showers have become a chore …
No worries though! We force ourselves to shower & smell nice. No one wants to look like a dirty bum when you’re giving tours all day : D
